Elon Musk announced he will be dedicating himself to working around the clock at his companies again, following a significant service disruption on his social media platform X, which has now been mostly resolved.
At the height of the outage on Saturday morning, over 25,800 users in the United States reported issues accessing the platform, with the number of problems dropping to fewer than 650 by early afternoon. Users in several other countries, including Germany, Spain, France, India, Canada, Australia, and the UK, also experienced interruptions during the incident.
Musk posted on X that he is “back to spending 24/7 at work and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms,” emphasizing his focus on X, xAI, Tesla, and the upcoming Starship launch, all of which involve critical technology rollouts.
Recently, Musk indicated a significant reduction in his political contributions after spending nearly $300 million supporting certain U.S. political campaigns last year. This shift highlights his intention to concentrate more on his business ventures amid investor concerns about his divided attention.
He previously led an initiative aimed at increasing government efficiency by cutting jobs and canceling contracts and grants. However, his political stances have sparked protests against Tesla in various regions, contributing to a decline in sales and the company’s first annual delivery drop last year.
Some investors have expressed concerns over Musk’s time management, especially regarding his involvement with Dogecoin. In response, Musk recently assured shareholders he will limit his Dogecoin-related work to just one or two days a week starting in May.
