Several international airlines have once more stopped flights to and from Tel Aviv following a missile launch by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on May 4, which landed near Israel’s main international airport. This disruption comes as Israel continues its military operations throughout the Gaza Strip.

Flights had started to resume after a ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian group Hamas was reached in January. However, Israel restarted military actions in the Gaza region in March and has increased the intensity of its operations in May.

Below is a list of airlines that have canceled flights since early May:

  • AirBaltic: The Latvian airline has halted flights to and from Tel Aviv until June 2.

  • KLM: The Dutch carrier has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until May 30.

  • Air India: The Indian airline announced on May 26 that flights to and from Tel Aviv are currently suspended, without specifying when they will resume.

  • British Airways: Owned by IAG, British Airways has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until June 14.

  • Iberia Express: Also part of IAG, this low-cost airline has canceled flights to Tel Aviv until May 31.

  • ITA Airways: The Italian airline has stopped flights to and from Tel Aviv until June 15.

  • LOT Polish Airlines: Flights to Tel Aviv are suspended until May 31.

  • Lufthansa Group: The German airline group has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv through June 15.

  • Ryanair: Europe’s largest budget carrier has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until June 11.

  • United Airlines: The Chicago-based airline stated that its flights to and from Tel Aviv could be affected between May 4 and June 2.
