The United States and Iran made headway during talks held in Switzerland on Monday, moving closer to a final agreement expected within the next 60 days. Among the key developments was an understanding to establish a joint committee and a framework aimed at ending hostilities in Lebanon.
“The Lake Lucerne Summit was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere. Significant progress was achieved, including the establishment of a mechanism to facilitate further technical discussions,” mediators Qatar and Pakistan said in a joint statement.
