Former Zambian cabinet minister and opposition MP Mutotwe Kafwaya has been killed during a security operation at the home of opposition leader Brian Mundubile, according to police.
Authorities said officers came under gunfire during the raid and returned fire, later confirming Kafwaya was the man killed.
The incident comes just days after President Hakainde Hichilema secured a second term, as the opposition continues to allege electoral irregularities and intimidation.
