A major diplomatic moment is unfolding in WASHINGTON as Chinese President XI JINPING arrives for a high-profile state visit hosted by U.S. President DONALD
TRUMP.
In a rare gesture, Trump is expected to PERSONALLY GREET XI ON THE TARMAC, alongside Xi’s wife, PENG LIYUAN, before an official arrival ceremony.
The THREE-DAY VISIT will feature full state honours and a formal dinner at the White House on Thursday
reciprocating the ceremonial welcome Trump received during his visit to China in May.
But beyond the pageantry, the stakes are high.
Trump and Xi are expected to tackle TRADE AND TARIFFS, ECONOMIC COOPERATION, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, TECHNOLOGY, TAIWAN and broader U.S.-China relations.
