Russia says President Vladimir Putin is willing to speak directly with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with a Kremlin aide indicating that Putin would answer a phone call from his Ukrainian counterpart.
Kremlin foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov reiterated Moscow’s willingness to engage, while suggesting that Zelenskyy travel to Moscow for face-to-face negotiations an offer Kyiv has previously rejected.
Zelenskyy, meanwhile, has expressed willingness to meet Putin in Türkiye, with potential talks expected to address territorial disputes and security guarantees.
However, no direct conversation between the two leaders has been confirmed.
