On Thursday, China suspended imports of all Japanese aquatic products to prevent risks from Japan’s discharge of nuclear-contaminated wastewater.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson says China and other stakeholders have the right and responsibility to take legitimate, reasonable and necessary measures to safeguard food safety and people’s health, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said, urging Japan not turn the nuclear-contaminated water into a shameful act.
