In a forceful statement from the United Nations headquarters, Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon declared that “history changed in the last 24 hours,” following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Danon hailed the strikes as a historic act of “incredible bravery and morality,” calling it a major blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions and a wake-up call to the international community.

Addressing reporters during a high-profile press briefing, Danon emphasized that the U.S. action represented a turning point in the fight against nuclear proliferation. “This was not merely a military operation,” Danon said. “It was a moral stand against a regime that has never had peaceful intentions when it comes to nuclear capability.”

He praised the Trump administration for its decisive response to what Israel has long described as a growing existential threat. “The United States acted with clarity, courage, and conviction,” Danon added. “This is what leadership looks like in the face of global danger.”

Danon urged other nations to follow suit in publicly recognizing the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program. He reiterated Israel’s longstanding position that Tehran’s activities were never about civilian energy. “Let us stop pretending. This was never a peaceful program it was a covert path to a nuclear weapon,” he said.

The Israeli envoy’s comments come amid a flurry of international reactions following the U.S. strikes on Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan three of Iran’s most sensitive nuclear facilities.

Ambassador Danon concluded by stating that while military action is not the preferred path, it was necessary in this case to “protect future generations from nuclear blackmail.” As diplomatic responses unfold, Israel has reaffirmed its support for the U.S. and called on the UN Security Council to recognize the gravity of the situation.
