Zimbabwe’s government says it has made major progress in preparing for the summer farming season, with more than six million plots already ready under the Presidential Input Scheme.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa praised farmers for their efforts and said the government’s distribution of inputs was key to strengthening food security and building resilience.

He added that the measures are part of broader plans to boost agricultural production and economic stability as the country navigates global challenges and supply constraints.
