South Africa’s Ruling Party Suspends Former President Jacob Zuma

This coming weekend, February 3rd and 4th, is the last opportunity for South African citizens to register to vote in this year’s election.

With the ANC facing the prospect of its electoral support falling below 50% for the first time in the upcoming general election, South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) has suspended former President Jacob Zuma, weeks after he backed another party ahead of this year’s general election.
