Travel from South Africa to be Restricted by the Biden Administration

The United States has joined the ranks of other countries that have placed South Africa on their no-fly lists.

This comes after US President Joe Biden imposed a travel ban on South Africa and other neighboring countries. The United States has now joined the United Kingdom, which was the first to impose a travel ban on South Africans, as well as other countries from around the world. Scientists have stated that their discovery of the variant should not be used to punish South Africa. Dr. Joe Phaahla, South Africa’s Health Minister, stated that they would need to speak with the countries that have imposed the travel ban on the country.
