U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a new initiative to make in vitro fertilization (IVF) more affordable by cutting the cost of key fertility medications. The White House said deals with two specialty pharmacies and a major drugmaker will lower prices for a widely used IVF drug starting in early 2026.
While the policy doesn’t require insurers to cover IVF, Trump said it aims to “give hopeful families more affordable options” to overcome financial barriers to fertility treatment.
