Pam Bondi: “258 Million Lives Saved Through Fentanyl Seizures”

In a cabinet meeting addressing the accomplishments of the U.S. administration under President Donald Trump’s leadership, Attorney General Pam Bondi highlighted key actions taken by the Department of Justice (DOJ) during the administration’s first 100 days in office.

Bondi reported that the DOJ had successfully seized more than 22 million fentanyl pills and over 3,400 kilograms of fentanyl during this period  a significant milestone in the administration’s efforts to combat the opioid crisis. She emphasized the life-saving impact of these seizures, claiming that the actions taken had potentially saved 258 million lives from fentanyl-related harm.

“The work of the DOJ over the past 100 days is proof of this administration’s commitment to protecting American lives,” said Bondi.

Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin, continues to pose a deadly threat across the United States, with overdoses reaching record highs in recent years. The DOJ’s intensified crackdown is part of broader efforts to address drug trafficking, especially at the borders and in key metropolitan areas.

LN24 International will continue to monitor developments as the administration outlines its next steps in the ongoing war against opioids.
