U.S. President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett, will face a grilling from Democrats this week during a four-day Senate confirmation hearing as Republicans push ahead with their plan to fill a vacancy on the bench before the November presidential election.
Meanwhile, both former Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, continue to deflect when asked if they would try to add more justices to the nation’s highest court, a practice known as court packing.
