Canada Targets Asia With $14 Billion Pacific Link Oil Pipeline Plan

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced plans to fast-track regulatory approval for the proposed Pacific Link crude oil pipeline, aimed at reducing Canada’s reliance on the U.S. market and expanding exports to Asia.

Carney says 90% of Alberta’s oil currently goes to the United States. The proposed pipeline could enable an additional ONE MILLION BARRELS A DAY to reach Asian markets.

The Canadian government estimates the project could generate MORE THAN $14 BILLION ANNUALLY IN GDP.
