Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has begun his second five-year term as the country enters a new parliamentary era amid renewed conflict in Tigray and escalating tensions with neighbouring Eritrea. 🇪🇹

Ahmed has reaffirmed Ethiopia’s determination to pursue its national interests independently and strengthen its position as a key regional power. However, renewed internal conflict and strained relations with Eritrea present significant challenges for his new term.
