Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has warned that Europe faces what he described as a SERIOUS RISK OF A WIDER MILITARY CONFRONTATION involving NATO and Russia. Speaking in Presov ahead of a planned visit to Kyiv, Fico criticised Western military support for Ukraine and claimed some politicians within NATO are pushing the conflict towards a DIRECT CONFRONTATION WITH MOSCOW.
Fico also argued that the strategy of supporting Ukraine has FAILED TO ACHIEVE ITS STATED MILITARY OBJECTIVES.
And his position is clear: SLOVAKIA WILL NOT DEPLOY ITS TROOPS, including under NATO’s ARTICLE 5 COLLECTIVE-DEFENCE FRAMEWORK.
