Ghana And Russia Move Toward Visa-free Travel

Ghana and Russia are set to sign a visa-free travel agreement, marking a major step in strengthening relations between Accra and Moscow.

Ghana’s Foreign Minister Samuel Ablakwa described the deal as a significant development as both countries deepen economic and diplomatic ties.

Bilateral trade has surged more than 3.5-fold since 2022, reaching about $850 million in 2024–2025, while Russian agricultural exports to Ghana tripled in the first half of 2026 to $20.4 million.
