Israeli Prime Minister to Discuss Gaza, Iran and Regional Security; Visit Includes Attendance at Senator Lindsey Graham’s Funeral

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is travelling to Washington, D.C. for high-level discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump as both leaders seek to address growing security challenges in the Middle East.

The meeting at the White House is expected to focus on the conflict in Gaza Strip, tensions involving Iran, broader regional security, and efforts to advance a ceasefire.

During his visit, Netanyahu is also expected to attend the funeral of the late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham.

Ahead of his departure, the Israeli prime minister said he had spoken with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who, according to Netanyahu, reaffirmed the United States’ intention to take a firm stance against the International Criminal Court.

The visit comes amid continued diplomatic engagement between Washington and Jerusalem on regional security and ongoing developments in the Middle East.
