South Africa Prepares For Major Regional Summit

South Africa will host the 46th Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government at the Durban International Convention Centre on August 17. During the summit, Zimbabwe will hand over the SADC Chairpersonship to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

At a media briefing today, International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola said that South Africa is fully prepared to host the regional gathering. He emphasised that hosting the summit demonstrates South Africa’s commitment to advancing regional economic integration, political stability, and cooperation across Southern Africa.
