The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has removed counterterrorism sanctions from Iraqi carrier Fly Baghdad and two specific aircraft previously blacklisted for alleged links to Iran’s IRGC.

The Specially Designated Nationals list was updated to remove Fly Baghdad Airlines Company, Fly Baghdad, and Iraq Express. According to the Treasury, the delisting follows demonstrated operational changes by the airline, making the 2024 sanctions no longer necessary. Officials emphasized this is a routine action based on compliance rather than a policy shift regarding Iran.
