Statistics South Africa reported that the country’s official unemployment rate fell slightly in the fourth quarter of 2022, to 32.7%.
This is a 0.2 percentage point decline from the previous quarter’s 32.9%.
This means that about 16 million individuals were still out of work throughout this time period.
On Tuesday, Stats SA revealed the results of the Quarterly Labour Force Survey in Pretoria.
